A Brief History

How it all began

Freedom House for All Nations began as Glory Worship Centre which was planted as a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in September 1997 under the leadership of Pastor Cal Lawanson. In January 2006 after Pastor Cal’s relocation to USA, Pastor Tom and Josephine Irabor were posted  to take over as pastors of what later became re-branded as Freedom House for All Nations.

The parish has by God’s special grace seen continuous growth and testimonies including the planting of new parishes as part of the church growth and people-redemptive strategies of RCCG. These Parishes include:

  • RCCG Place of His Presence, Mottingham, led by Pastor Steve Edetanlen
  • RCCG Jesus Sanctuary, Bromley
  • RCCG Freedom House, Canada

As a mandate-driven church, Freedom House has a responsibility to raise followers of the Lord Jesus Christ and to serve our community. We come together from different social, cultural and racial backgrounds as brothers and sisters united in Jesus Christ for the common purpose of worship unto God and to develop lifestyles that embody God’s love and holiness.

At Freedom House, the uncompromising Word of God is preached, bringing hope, victory, salvation, freedom and prosperity to the people. Seeing Jesus lifted up as Lord over all is our utmost desire.

Freedom House Mission

Mission Statement: Raising Champions for God’s Kingdom Business

The Kingdom of God’s first resource is the people that become instruments in His hands to reach more places for Him, all with the aim of reconciling man to God. The Word of God changes people who are built up and released into their various fields of endeavour to go and win. Through their victories, other resources are made available to further the cause of God’s Kingdom.

OUR VISION

  • To raise disciples that will live victoriously and make it to heaven.
  • To grow up and grow big together through the sound teaching of the Bible.
  • To discover potentials and develop gifts of members to overcome spiritually, physically, financially etc.
  • To run with the Redeemed Christian Church of God’s apostolic mandate of church planting.
  • To teach practical holy living that will bring a change in our community and wherever we live.
  • To actively pursue evangelism and soul winning.
  • To raise mental awareness for spiritual and physical well-being of every member of RCCG Freedom House for All Nations.

About The Pastor

Guiding God’s people

Pastor Thomas Irabor is the pastor in charge of RCCG Freedom House for All Nations.

Out of a burning desire for God, he left a career in banking in 2004 to enable him fulfill God’s mandate and call upon his life. He has served in various RCCG parishes and pioneered the planting of parishes even while he was still working as a banker in Nigeria. He was ordained an Assistant Pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God in August 1996 and became a full pastor in November 2008 to the glory of God. He is currently an Area Pastor in the RCCG UK structure.

As a man with a desire to see the righteousness of God formed in God’s people, he preaches the Word of God with God’s help. He believes that with God nothing is impossible and that the only thing that is not possible is to find what is impossible. He sometimes pushes people he believes have great potential, beyond the limit of impossibilities to see God’s gifts and purpose manifest in their lives. He believes that if God could bring him from nowhere to where he is today; that same God who is fair to all, can equally do it for anyone else.

He preaches the Word of God with authority and great zeal with testimonies following. He believes the only person that can stop you from winning is yourself. Therefore with God on your side, no mountain is too high to climb and no valley too deep to cross. He is a father and a mentor to many people across the globe. Pastor Tom as he is fondly called is married to Pastor Mrs Josephine Irabor, a woman he calls his friend, lover, companion, soul mate and his jewel. She supports him in the work of church ministry.

At Freedom House, Pastor Tom is supported by a team of ministers who are committed to the well-being of the church and its people.

Our Core Values

At Freedom House for All Nations our behaviours and actions are motivated by the foundational example set for us by our Lord Jesus Christ. We therefore hold on to and value the following:

Faith: We receive direction and motivation from God and His Word and believe that with Him on our side we can achieve what otherwise seems impossible.

Prayerfulness: Our primary means of communication with God is through prayer based on His Word. In prayer we are able to express ourselves freely to God and receive His guidance on how to fulfill our mission.

Commitment: We are committed to winning souls for the kingdom of God and sharing His love with others all around us, using every resource He entrusts us with.

Holiness: We believe the Bible and are committed to living by the unadulterated Word of God.

Integrity: We build our lives and relationships on trust and integrity with honest communication.

Excellence: We demand excellence of ourselves by exceptional practices, which lead to exceptional results. We continue to strive for uncompromising quality in all that we do.

Discipline: We believe that to fulfill God’s vision, there needs to be order and submission. Each person is held accountable and expected to submit to the vision and rules of the house.

People: We are passionate about people. People come first in our service to God. We strive to meet their needs in all that we do so that they will seek God joyfully and realise their full potential.

Gratitude: Through worship, the giving of thanks, and a trusting and positive outlook in all situations, we express our appreciation of the love that God has shown to us by giving us the freedom to be His representatives here on earth.

Our People

At Freedom House we love people. As a church we are constantly looking for ways to improve the quality of life of everyone we come across.

To make this happen we have a selfless pool of volunteers who give their time to run various departments and ministries during the week and at our Sunday services. The church volunteers’ activities are coordinated by a leadership structure made up of pastors, deacons, ministers and elders, in addition to heads of various departments and ministries.

Pastorate and Ministers
Spiritual oversight and direction is provided by a core group of leaders – supported by the other leadership strands – who have submitted themselves in the service of God, the church, its congregation and its local community.

Board of Trustees
Freedom House is a registered charity and is controlled by a board of trustees for the purposes of charity law.

Administration
The church office is the center of operational and administrative activity at Freedom House. Here, the short, medium and long term objectives of the church are catered to. It is currently run by volunteers.

Freedom House Membership and Nationalities
Located in South East London, Freedom House is indeed open to ‘all nations’. Our membership reflects the diversity of tribes, cultures and nationalities that can be found around us. Anyone seeking to attend or visit Freedom House is unconditionally welcome regardless of age, gender, background or nationality.
